1. How has the Industrial Revolution lead to the changes in this chart?

2. Why is education much more important now than before the Industrial Revolution?

  1. 1. The Industrial Revolution led to the changes in this chart because those who were unable to finish high school had to drop out to support their families. Since these kids dropped out of high schools, factory owners took advantage of this and charged them very little during the Industrial Revolution. The people who graduated colleges, most of them came from successful families and they were able to have jobs that were part of the government or they became business owners or managers. Also those who can afford or attend big colleges due to their parents, their parents helped them receive a better education and they helped their children get a good job.

    2. Education is much more important now than before the Industrial Revolution because when you apply for a job, most employers would prefer someone with an college education then someone who has a high school education. Another reason is because when you learn an specific skill, this can help or benefit you when you apply for a certain job. Having a good education helps employers determine what are your best skills or if you qualify for the job you are applying for. Before the Industrial Revolution, having an education wouldn't matter too much because you can live off your parents farm and be very successful because of what your parents built. These farms could also be passed down for generations and kids would not need an education on how to work on the farm.

  2. 1.The industrial revolution has changed this chart because at the beginning of the chart,a HS dropout, HS graduate, college, college graduate and graduate school graduate will make approximately around the same. As technology increases, the need for knowledge and skills became stronger. In 2008, those 5 groups of people made completely different wages based on their skill and knowledge of how to work things, fix things and work around things.
    2. Before the industrial revolution, most people couldn't afford education so they sent their kids to work in the factories. With new technology rising, more kids can attend schools because their parents had enough money to send them to school. Sending them to school allowed them to learn things which today is very important because knowledge can get you into college and get you a good job afterward.

  3. The Industrial Revolution led to the changes in the chart above because production now relied on machines instead of the human hand, therefore those with an education are often making more money because they're the ones coming up with new ideas and inventions, and they're the ones with a "career" rather than "just another job." Those with a higher education are more skilled than those with very little to no education.

Education is much more important now than before the Industrial Revolution because before the Industrial Revolution, goods can be made by hand by laborers, but now almost everything is mechanical, and an education can help an entrepreneur, or a factory owner, or an inventor come up with different ideas, and help them thrive within their specialties. An education can help create new ideas and with new ideas comes a new invention, and a new invention can mean change, going forward, and modernizing, therefore education is very important especially after the Industrial Revolution.

    1. The Industrial Revolution has led to the changes in this chart, by males back then had the same wages no matter how educated they were. However, as the years go by, high school dropouts’ wages decrease and Graduates school males’ wages increased. This shows that education is being more valued and wages are more based on education. As a result of the Industrial Revolution, wages for workers increased and people with higher education are more highly skilled so they have higher wages than people who are high school dropouts.
    2. Education is much more important now than before the Industrial Revolution because, before the Industrial Revolution people were poor and couldn’t afford an education. People were more focused in working and making a living. Also, since technology wasn’t advanced back then, people usually earn a living by farming. As a result, kids have to work on the farms to help their parents make money so they didn’t focus on education. Education is important now because since we live in post industrialized environment, so society needs skilled people to take over important jobs. To have a degree or career people need to have an education. Lastly, having a higher education usually means a higher wage than people who has less education, so in order to make more money people strive for a higher education

  5. 1) The Industrial revolution caused changes in this chart due to the fact that society majorly reformed. Before the Industrial Revolution, all work was done by hand. This revolution caused people to now work in factories where the wage was very little. Machinery coming into play made work more easier for people and many new inventions to form. Inventions such as the steam engine, spinning jenny, cotton gin, and steam boat as commenced a way for changes to be led in this chart. The steam boat influenced trade, but not just trade of food, the trade of ideas as well. The laissez-faire allowed capitalism to form which caused people to pursue other careers although very little education was there among this time. Due to people not having money, it was hard to get an education for the correct skills. Now with new jobs opening up due to the enforcement of capitalism and these machines being created people could get jobs and kids could pursue an education. Wages now are about 9 dollars an hour while back then it was a penny. This chart now would much different then back then.
    2) Education is tremendously important now than it was before the Industrial Revolution. Before the creation of machinery which eventually led to people having an education, many just settled for being farmers and such which didn't allow people to earn much. The kids who worked in factories, tearing parts of their bodies apart were paid what we now find worthless. Now due to capitalism our economy functions much differently then how it did decades ago. Education now is vital if you want to pursue a decent career. Most jobs require some sort of mastery to be done. This is why it is much different today then back then due to the fact that you need skill to not live on the streets now instead of before the Industrial Revolution where many were just commoners and unskilled.

  6. 1. The Industrial Revolution lead to the changes in the chart because now many things are being produced and many companies and businesses are being created. And to control a business or company you have to be well educated and know how to make profit.

    2. Education is much more important now than before the Industrial Revolution because back then, education was pretty much useless because all the children had to do was work and it didn't require knowledge. Now, education is important because there are many jobs out there instead of just working. Wages have increased for those with the most education because they have more knowledge and are able to do things much complex. While the people with the least education earn lower wages because they have less knowledge and less experience.

  7. 1) If you have a higher education your wage is more likely higher. For example high school dropouts earn less wage then a high school graduate, but then college graduates earn more than both of them. As the year goes by the Industrial Revolution is benefiting people who has a higher education. The wages by the years are increasing for higher education. While decreasing by the years for people who have lower education. So basically wages increased for people who have higher education, while wages decrease for people who are dropout or just have a lower education.

    2) Education is more important now than before the Industrial Revolution because back then education wasn't as important as now, but since after Industrial Revolution if you have a higher education you'll have a better wage/salary then people who don't have any education. Because you're smarter. It just goes to show that if you want higher wage than you better have a higher education. The chart shows that back then in 1963 even if you have an higher education you'll earn the same wage, but as the years goes by people with higher education their wages increases while people who don't have higher education or don't have any education their wages slowly decreases.

  8. 1. The Industrial Revolution lead to changes in the chart because as businesses started growing, they needed people with certain experience to work in specific jobs so people who had an education got higher paying jobs than those who don’t have an education.

    2. Education is much more important now than before the industrial revolution because business owners just needed people to work for them. This is why children worked for businesses before the industrial revolution, they needed cheap labor and didn't care if they had an education or not. However, now, business owners need people with educations because they want their workers to know what they’re doing in their job because if they don’t they might get hurt or do something wrong and cost the company.

1- The Industrial Revolution lead to the changes in this chart because it caused the wages to increase for those with most education. After the Industrial Revolution more people started to become educated. According to the chart the rate of graduate school kept increasing as years kept going by. Due to the Industrial Revolution many lives got easier due to the technological advances.
2- Education is more important now that before the Industrial Revolution because we live in a world where without education you are nothing. For every single job you need some kind of education. Today, you can't get any job without any education. In the time of the Industrial Revolution, education wasn't that important because people were needed to work in the factories. They were taught what to do in there, so it wasn't a big deal. Before, education wasn't required now it is required.

  10. A Long-Term Affect of the Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution has lead to many changes in society, economy and people. During the Industrial Revolution was the great boom of an efficient capitalistic society. Manufacturing and production played key roles in gaining income. However, with production means greater man power and machinery. Jobs were often handed out to the ones with little. They had little pay, rest and were most of the time unhealthy due to unsanitary working conditions. These, people included immigrants, the lower-classes or just people in general with no sufficient skill in labor. However, unlike today, during the Industrial Revolution, the demand for education was less and jobs and task were much simpler where in factories everyone had a simple single job as the product moved along the assembly line. Whereas today jobs revolve around more complex tasks that often involve specialization.
Today education is higher valued than during the Industrial Revolution for a multitude of reasons. Today, the world is more competitive, there are less and less job opportunities for people that have little skill or specializations. And today, we are protected by insurance and welfare, to keep us safe and healthy while working meaning more regulations on the upper management which could be one of the reasons why there are less job opportunities today. Plus, cost of education today is extremely expensive and only the best of the best students are acceptance the chance to receive it. Despite that fact, after getting specialization people still struggle to find open jobs. The chart shows statistics that students who go through graduate school are more likely to find good paying and self-sustaining jobs than high school dropouts.

  11. Industrial Revolution had lead changes to this chart because it encouraged a lot of youth to get educated instead of spending life in factories. Before Industrial Revolution, the level of education did not significantly impact the society by its result. However, after the Industrial Revolution, people had realized that education should be appreciated, because you can use your knowledge to invent one of those giant machine to make life easier and make tons of money from it.
Education is much more important now than before the Industrial Revolution is because before the Revolution, people did not realized how much the knowledge that gained from education can help to master their skills and made money from it. After the civilization, the new invention and new technology had open the eyes of people to see how education can master your skills and you can take advantage of your skills, then make money from it.
